Software Configuration Management Considerations for Agile Development

Many software development organizations are considering moving to an Agile development methodology in order to better meet their customers’ needs, increase product quality, and decrease costs. Organizations considering such a change should also consider the changing requirements that the new development model places on the software configuration management (SCM) system. This paper gives an overview of Agile development and highlights the aspects of SCM that are important in order to successfully adopt an Agile methodology.
