End-user Defined Data Mashup: What and Why?

InetSoft offers a unique capability in its BI platform for  enabling end-users to combine disparate data sources that aren’t already mapped in a data warehouse schema. While traditional information management philosophy is for IT to be the gatekeeper of the single truth of enterprise data definitions, it is a fallacy to believe that this can be accomplished. Moreover, limiting end-user abilities creates obstacles to delivering on the fullest benefits of the mission of BI for the business community and comes back to burdening IT with unnecessary change requests, work backlogs, and administration overhead.
