Our Start
AppAssure Software was founded by veterans in the Windows application and storage spaces in 2005 with the goal of providing innovative and next generation business continuity and disaster recovery solutions for mission-critical Microsoft messaging infrastructures.

AppAssure understands the importance of business applications such as Microsoft Exchange, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, SQL Server, SharePoint and many other Windows servers that comprise the messaging infrastructure that keeps businesses running 24/7.  When one or more of these systems goes offline, even for a moment, business can grind to a halt. With this in mind, AppAssure develops software applications that provide companies with practical and easy to use methods for ensuring business continuity and accelerated recoveries from outages and disasters.

Our Evolution
In early 2008, AppAssure Software received a "Series A" investment by Bain Capital Ventures. The funding is enabling AppAssure to continue investing in research and development to expand the scope of the Replay™ product family. Additionally, the funding enables the company to continue providing personalized support and service to its rapidly expanding customer base.

In April 2008, AppAssure Software was the recent recipient of Redmond Magazine’s MVP award, scoring an 8.8 and has since been featured in numerous articles and magazines throughout the industry and general media, including The Washington Business Journal, Windows IT Pro Magazine, Redmond Magazine and more.

Looking Forward
AppAssure Software has partnered with several industry leaders to develop and bring to market innovative solutions tackling real-world problems. As a Microsoft partner, AppAssure has attained elite status, being designated as a "high potential managed partner" with gold certification. Together, our two companies develop and market MailRetriever for Microsoft DPM.

AppAssure has partnered with VMware, one of the leaders in virtualization technology to natively support their platform, delivering cost effective and reliable disaster recovery leveraging virtualization to help companies keep their systems running in times of disaster.

Additionally, AppAssure's partnership with Research In Motion, the makers of the BlackBerry products, provides unparalleled protection against outages of the BlackBerry service for customers around the world.
